Us
We are Kim and Ray Copper, from Langley* in Berkshire, UK. We both retired mid July 2017, Ray after almost 47 years with British Airways in Engineering, Kim after 21 years teaching at Kings Court First School, Old Windsor.
We both have a passion for travelling and visiting places of interest and so the plan emerged to undertake a two year tour of Europe post retirement.
Neither of us were experienced caravanners so we rented a caravan in the summer of 2016 and did a trial run down to Austria over twelve days as a feasibility study of the grand plan 🙂
This trip went well (with the exception of the slight damage I did while reversing the caravan in Ypres – Doh!) and we then purchased our own van in July 2017 in time for our retirement.
The Plan
The intention is to head off around Ireland initially then meander our way around Europe for around two years, making it up as we go along.
