Today we visited the medieval walled Old Town of Cáceres. Founded by the Romans around 25BC, it has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1986.

We awoke to a cool, grey, day. The weather forecast for Aranjuez was showing overnight temperatures dropping to below freezing for the coming week. Time to move on.
The weather had not been good whilst we were in Aranjuez so we had not really ventured into the town. As today was our last day we decided to walk through the Prince’s Garden to visit the Royal Palace.
