Camping Villa Park Zambujeira

Monday May 7th 2018

After a fantastic week spent with Paul, Ros, and the kids it was once again time to move on. We had been recommended to visit nearby Zambujeira do Mar so we made the short 70km tow up the coast to the nearby Camping Villa Park Zambujeira. We avoided toll roads to get a more scenic route and apart from some rough patches of road the trip went well.

This campsite is another Camping Card site that costs €15 a night including electricity up until 15th June. It is quite large and set on many levels of terrace. There is a pool, a café, bar, and a limited selection of groceries. The shower/toilet facilities are fine and very clean. Some of the pitches are a little scruffy looking at this time of year, but we found an out of the way pitch that suited us nicely.

Towing Kilometres – Today: 66 Cumulative: 12,552

We had nice neighbours from near Nuremburg who were having problems with a fuse. I had some spare fuses in the car so offered them a replacement. We were rewarded with a cool beer and a pleasant chat with them for an hour or so. Fortunately their English speaking was far superior to our German.

The following morning I was approached an ACSI camp inspector and was asked to answer a survey of the site. I couldn’t give anything a less than good, and would use this site again.
