One of our boys, Matthew was flying out to spend a Torrevieja Long Weekend with us, so after a rainy night, we had our fingers crossed the weather would improve.
Access to Alicante airport from our campsite was easy. Just a 25 minute hop on the AP-7 and we were there.
As predicted the clouds cleared and the temperature began to rise and thatâs how the rest of the weekend remained. Hot and sunny đ
The forecast for the weather across Spain was not looking promising at all. Rain, rain and more rain!!! Today would probably be the last dry day in the region, so it was back to Seville Cathedral to explore this, and more, of this delightful city.
We made our way into the city the same as we had done yesterday, but rather than using the A7 motorway we went cross country.
The journey didnât take much longer and a change of scenery can always be interesting. So, onto the A-483 out of the campsite, heading east on A-474 at Almonte.
Seville is the capital of southern Spains Andalusia region. It was approximately 80 kms from our campsite at El RocĂo, about an hoursâ drive. Famous for flamenco, stunning architecture, palaces, gardens and an old quarter with narrow alleyways, to name but a few. It was definitely a must to visit. The weather had not been good whilst we were in Aranjuez so we had not really ventured into the town. As today was our last day we decided to walk through the Prince’s Garden to visit the Royal Palace.
