We were lucky that the small hill top town of Bidart was just a short walk or cycle ride away from our base, although the journey up to the town took a little more effort than the return 😉 The well known resort town of Biarritz and its international airport was also only about 6 kms north from here, although we never visited during our stay. The combination of heavy rain, poor weather forecasts, and not least, the thoroughly waterlogged ground our caravan was parked on brought about a big change of plan today. We had intended staying in northern Spain for at least another week to visit the region around Bilbao and Guggenheim museum.
Friday was spent working on the van.
The weather was superb, and the sun highlighted the high, snow-capped, mountains to the west of the site. Kim worked most of the day re-organising and cleaning the inside and doing the washing. Continue reading Return to clear, blue, skies
