We had learned many weeks ago that nephew Elliot would be visiting his friend Dylan, who is on a teaching assignment, in Granada for a few days from the 17th. We wanted to meet up with him for lunch to catch up. A Granada rendezvous 🙂
About a ten minute drive from our campsite was the modern San Isidro- Albatera-Catral station on the Murcia-Alicant C1 line. It was perfect to park the car and make our way into the city with very little effort.
One of our boys, Matthew was flying out to spend a Torrevieja Long Weekend with us, so after a rainy night, we had our fingers crossed the weather would improve.
Access to Alicante airport from our campsite was easy. Just a 25 minute hop on the AP-7 and we were there.
As predicted the clouds cleared and the temperature began to rise and that’s how the rest of the weekend remained. Hot and sunny 😉
We’re chasing the weather again. We had listened to rain hammering on the top of the caravan most of Tuesday evening. We awoke on Wednesday to heavy rain and the pitches and roads of the site were soft under foot with large puddles.
The rain persisted all day, and we barely left the caravan. The mud outside and heavy rain even meant we had to cancel a planned lunch, with new friends Tony & Barbara, by email even though their caravan was a couple of hundred metres away from ours 🙂 Continue reading Chasing the Weather – Again→
