The Vía Verde was our target today. Otherwise known as The Greenway of the Sea, it is a cycle and walking route which runs along the wild and natural coast between Oropesa del Mar and Benicàssim, where the Sierra de Oropesa range of hills meets the sea. Continue reading Vía Verde

Today the sun had made an appearance and although it was still incredibly cold, we didn’t want to waste a day, so Orléans was our planned destination. Neither of us had ever visited the city before and it always seems pity not to make the most of what is on your doorstep. So we set off for a taster visit to Orléans.

We drove over to Cunit to ride along the promenade one more time and in the evening Lutz had generously offered to treat us all to dinner in the camp restaurant,
The Menu del Dia proved a good choice all round, washed down with some local beer and vino tinto and the addition of some Christmas favourites being played on the keyboard in the corner of the room, kind of added something to the evening festivities, in a quirky way 🙂
After a couple of glasses back at Lutz’s campervan to end the evening, we thanked him for his hospitality and headed back home.
