We’re back on the road at last. After 8 nights at Ionion Beach, and one mostly on an aircraft we finally have new credit cards, driving licence, and a new phone. ‘Normal’ service is resumed 🙂
All Towing Posts – This tag marks all posts where we were travelling between stopping sites while towing the caravan. It does not include sightseeing trips.

After the wallet loss disaster in Athens we decided on Sunday to head back to the oasis that is Camping Ionion Beach to await delivery of my new credit cards and iPhone.

We knew the site to be quiet at night and the excellent swimming pool a good place to cool down on the hot afternoons.
Having seen it many times on TV over the years we were both keen to visit the Corinth Canal.
Over the weekend we did very little. Enjoying, and sheltering from, the very hot & humid weather interspersed with domestic chores and a couple of cooling evening swims at Kalogria Beach. We had an excellent meal out in Stoupa whilst watching the world go by.
We moved on again today to Camping Kalogria in Stoupa. We want to get our tour of the Pelopennes completed before the temperatures get very silly and it’s forecast to be 30°C today.
The planned route took us north on the same roads as we had taken to Messena, then east around Kalamata before joining the new 7 road south toward Stoupa.
