Due to an extended return to the UK for Christmas and the New Year we have been very remiss with regard to the blog, so this post will be a briefish precis of what we have been up to over the last 2 months or so.
We had intended to return to the UK around the 18th of November to attend a pre-arranged golfing get together in Grantham at the end of the month, but on discovering that Campsite Sulzbachtal would store the caravan for a measly €2 a night, we decided to pay for 10 weeks storage and return 10 days earlier to allow an easier schedule of friend & family visits, car servicing, MOT etc, and get some golf practice in as we had only played 9 holes in Norway in the previous 18 months despite hauling the clubs all around our tour route! (the practice didn’t happen 🙂 )
The weeks passed so quickly and were a lot more hectic at times than expected. We visited family & friends in Herefordshire, Kent, Sussex, Surrey & Berkshire.
Thanks for putting us up go out to Matthew, Lee & Don, Mark & Jacqui, Ray & Denise, Steve & Eileen & Carol 🙂 Thank you all.
The golf went better than anticipated at the end of November and, even better, it didn’t snow as it had in previous years 🙂 We even managed to squeeze in another round at our former club Temple in Hurley.
Kims’ Mum had a knee replacement on the 5th December so we were around to give some support while she recovered from the operation.
We spent Christmas & New Year at Mark & Jacqui’s and a good time was had by all with excessive eating and imbibing, as always 🙂
Mark & I got to see Bognor Regis Town FC a couple of times over the holidays, and I got to see Tottenham a few times at Wembley with son Glenn and the grandsons, Zac & Jake.
Early January I serviced the car and it passed it’s MOT, taken 3 months early because we intend to be in Italy when it was due.

The last week or so we have been travelling back to collect the caravan and meet up with our friend Lutz and then returning to touring, travelling south into Spain while we wait for the weather in Italy to warm up and a few more campsites to open.
We overnighted at both Camping De Lyon and Camping Figurotta en-route.
We are currently at Vilanova Park near Barcelona but will move toward Alicante, where it is warmer, on Thursday.
You guys are always welcome.
Safe trips and see You whenever
Don & Lee
Cheers! 😊
