Today marked the end of our two year adventure. We packed up the caravan for the last time for a while and made our way from Ypres to catch our Eurotunnel train back to the UK.
With the caravan safely stored at Monte Parc, we set off on the 29th of March for Malaga airport to catch our British Airways flight to Gatwick to commence our house sit back in the UK. Mark & Jacqui were off to Thailand for a much needed holiday and we had agreed to house and cat sit for the duration.
Thursday morning we set an alarm, a rare event these days, locked the caravan, and set off for Dunkirk for the 10am ferry to Dover for what turned out to be a hectic week!
We were due to attend the wedding of good friends Ray & Denise on Saturday in Wokingham. My brother Steve was coming over to caravan sit.
We planned to visit with as many relatives as possible and do some shopping for stuff we have been unable to find enroute. We were also collecting our new Thule Omnistor canopy that Kim had purchased online as well.
Knowing that we would have to be away early today to get the Santander ferry from Portsmouth we had booked, we decided last Friday to move the caravan over to Hayling Island. The adventure resumes. 🙂

We only stayed at the van for one night, preferring the log burner and endless bar at Mark & Jacqui’s 🙂 Continue reading The Adventure Resumes→
Having survived once again the eating & drinking fest that is Christmas & New Year, I’ve spent this week sorting out things for the next phase of our tour.
