It was only 2 kms from our campsite but the approach was all up hill, so we took the car 😉

About 10 kilometres to the south of Torrevieja is Cabo Roig. It is a popular resort in an area known as the Oriheula Costa. We had not visited here before, so decided to head to the marina area and enjoy a stroll along the coastal walk before heading back into Torrevieja for a spot of lunch with Andy on his first official day with us. We’ve not posted on the blog lately because, quite frankly, there is little to report. We are still setup on our spacious pitch at the camping megacity that is Marjal Camping, enjoying inactivity 🙂
January, February and March are ideal months to see the almond trees in blossom around several parts of Spain, including the delightful area known as the Vall de Pop. We had read that the Alcalalí or Flower festival is held throughout February and there are several events which take place during this month too.
