The day began with some welcome sunshine so we headed off to visit the nearby island of Gimsøya as well as hoping to spot the perfect fishing spot, a bit like the signs for moose we have encountered.

Our journey yesterday had taken us through the village of Kabelvåg and it was not difficult to miss the beautiful Vågan Church or as it is sometimes nicknamed, Lofoten Cathedral.
The continuation of our journey through the Lofoten islands would take us to one of the larger islands in the archipelago, Austvågøy or Austvågøya, located between the Vestfjorden and the Norwegian Sea.

Our journey today would take us around the southern part of Hinnøya, from Harstad, following the E10, eventually joining the 85 and our destination, Gullesfjord, to stay at Gullesfjordbotn Camping.
