Apart from the many ports and towns lining this area of Galicia’s coastline which we passed on our way to our destination, we have been blessed with two beaches adjacent to our campsite and we were keen to check them out.
Just a short walk from the campsite was the delightful fine white sandy beach of Lariño which stretches 2 kms towards the lighthouse, El Faro, at Punta Ínsua.
About 35 minutes south from our campsite was the historic walled town of Óbidos, considered to be one of the most picturesque locations in Portugal. It seemed like the perfect way to spend our last day before we headed north to Porto. Continue reading Óbidos→
Nazaré is a seaside resort on Portugal’s Silver Coast (Costa da Prata). It has its own wide sandy beach which stretches between the new harbour/marina in the south and the cliffs to the north, where the lighthouse stands.
