We had learned many weeks ago that nephew Elliot would be visiting his friend Dylan, who is on a teaching assignment, in Granada for a few days from the 17th. We wanted to meet up with him for lunch to catch up. A Granada rendezvous 🙂
We’re chasing the weather again. We had listened to rain hammering on the top of the caravan most of Tuesday evening. We awoke on Wednesday to heavy rain and the pitches and roads of the site were soft under foot with large puddles.
The rain persisted all day, and we barely left the caravan. The mud outside and heavy rain even meant we had to cancel a planned lunch, with new friends Tony & Barbara, by email even though their caravan was a couple of hundred metres away from ours 🙂 Continue reading Chasing the Weather – Again→
We had spent a comfortable eight nights at Camping Cáceres at a total cost of €102, a bargain. However, the overnight temperatures had started to drop just below freezing and the forecast was for much the same for a while. So further south toward Seville was the plan. We had driven through the Monfragüe National Park on the journey from Madrid. We were keen to investigate it further before moving further south. So today we drove north for about an hour on the marvellous A66 Autovia to find the visitor centre in the only inhabited village in the park, Villareal De San Carlos.
