After a fantastic week spent with Paul, Ros, and the kids it was once again time to move on. We had been recommended to visit nearby Zambujeira do Mar so we made the short 70km tow up the coast to the nearby Camping Villa Park Zambujeira. We avoided toll roads to get a more scenic route and apart from some rough patches of road the trip went well.
A short bike ride from our campsite Camping Villa Park Zambujeira was another superb sandy beach on the Alentejo coast, Zambujeira do Mar.
View of Zambujeira Beach. Historically it was one of the points on the coast where people would go for a traditional annual swim called the ‘Banho do 29’ and ended up becoming a popular seaside resort.
The one way system for cars in the town did not affect us on our cycle and we could head straight through the town towards the beach.
