About a ten minute drive from our campsite was the modern San Isidro- Albatera-Catral station on the Murcia-Alicant C1 line. It was perfect to park the car and make our way into the city with very little effort.

One of our boys, Matthew was flying out to spend a Torrevieja Long Weekend with us, so after a rainy night, we had our fingers crossed the weather would improve.
Access to Alicante airport from our campsite was easy. Just a 25 minute hop on the AP-7 and we were there.
As predicted the clouds cleared and the temperature began to rise and thatâs how the rest of the weekend remained. Hot and sunny đ
The forecast for the weather across Spain was not looking promising at all. Rain, rain and more rain!!! Today would probably be the last dry day in the region, so it was back to Seville Cathedral to explore this, and more, of this delightful city.
We made our way into the city the same as we had done yesterday, but rather than using the A7 motorway we went cross country.
The journey didnât take much longer and a change of scenery can always be interesting. So, onto the A-483 out of the campsite, heading east on A-474 at Almonte.
Seville is the capital of southern Spains Andalusia region. It was approximately 80 kms from our campsite at El RocĂo, about an hoursâ drive. Famous for flamenco, stunning architecture, palaces, gardens and an old quarter with narrow alleyways, to name but a few. It was definitely a must to visit. We had driven through the MonfragĂŒe National Park on the journey from Madrid. We were keen to investigate it further before moving further south. So today we drove north for about an hour on the marvellous A66 Autovia to find the visitor centre in the only inhabited village in the park, Villareal De San Carlos.
